I've written many times about my trips to Holland and the fabulous predator fishing opportunities over there, now everyone can give them a try because my fishing buddy Michel Huigevoort has started a guiding service.

PRESS RELEASE

Waalwijk, 5 June 2009

“RiverGuide” – the new Dutch Predator Fishing Guide website is launched.

The new RiverGuide website has gone online. RiverGuide offers the opportunity to fish for predators from a modern fully-equipped fishing boat on some of the well-stocked rivers of southern Holland .

“RiverGuide doesn’t just offer you an ordinary day’s fishing or just being taken to where there are a few fish and not just a day where only catching fish is important because that would do a disserve to our sport.” says Michel Huigevoort, founder of the website and fishing guide. “Every day is matched to your special requirements whether to suit more experienced anglers or those that are taking their first steps into predator fishing”.

RiverGuide aims at anglers who want to lift their skills to a higher level but also at anglers which are not familiar with predator fishing on the big rivers of Holland . The website is in 3 languages and contains all the information about the guiding service, plus tackle field tests.

I am over in Holland July/Aug so I'm hoping to have a day out with Michel. Having visited Holland many times and marveled at the range of fishing opportunities there I too would highly recommend a trip.

I wish Michel all the best with his new venture.

PS - They also have a developing barbel fishery over there.

That looks great site Dave, I'll have to do that one day for sure.

I'm in Amsterdam on business for a few days soon but won't be able to escape to go fishing

Does anyone know where you can buy the JJ lure retriever that Michel uses? I never seem to get round to making my own!

I've seen them in Dutch Tackle shops, I've got one, or more accurately the remains of one, somewhere. I think Sovereign used to import a few but they were a tad pricey.

Had my day out with Michel. I said I would try to pen something for the LAS magazine so I won't go into detail other than to say that the "regal" Thames flowing at the end of my road seems like a side-stream now .
